iFlightPlanner Points A/FD to New FAA Server

Thursday, February 2, 2012 @ 6:14 PM

The FAA recently retired the web address http://naco.faa.gov which hosted the airport diagram and procedure documents found in the Airport/Facility Directory on iFlightPlanner.com and in iFlightPlanner for iPad.  The A/FD on iFlightPlanner.com has been updated with the new web address, http://aeronav.faa.gov, however it was necessary for us to submit a new version of iFlightPlanner for iPad (v1.0.3) to address the change.

Apple is currently taking approximately one week to approve new versions of an app, so for the time being you will receive an error when trying to access a not-previously saved airport diagram or procedure document from the iFlightPlanner for iPad A/FD.  You are able, however, to download airport diagrams and terminal procedures in bulk for a specific state or the whole United States using the "Downloads" tab.

We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Blue skies,
