On more than once occasion I've seen conditions color coded as MVFR when I believe they should be IFR.

See image below. In the TAF from 4-10AM, shouldn't a ceiling of 700 broken indicate IFR (even though visibility is 4SM?)

Thanks -

Hi Rick,

Our METARs and TAFs, including flight rules (VFR, MVFR, etc), come direct from the National Weather Service in a real-time feed.

Up until now, the flight rules indicated have been very accurate. However, we have had a couple members mention recently they had spotted some incorrect flight rules. We are going to investigate and very well may convert our weather data processing to determine the flight rules ourselves, in real time, rather than relying on the flight rules indicated by the NWS feed.

Thanks for the heads up!
