Is there a way while flight planning to bring up a dialog to select parameters for a circle, i.e. 10 nm from airport radius, that allows you to select any point on the radial line so that you know you have selected exactly 10nm?

Thanks for you post!

We do not currently have a dialog to enter these parameters. However, when using our Flight Wizard to plan a flight, you may select "Custom Routing", then type a waypoint in the form "VVVVVrrrddd" where VVVVV is the name of a VOR or fix (can be 2-5 characters), rrr is the radial and ddd is the distance. For example, TVC180010 would represent a point 10nm on the 180 radial from the TVC VOR.

We've made a note to make this functionality available in our free Aviation Charts also.

Additionally, if you are an iFlightPlanner Premium member, you may use the Custom Waypoint functionality to save a point for future use. In doing so, you can provide a custom identifier for the point that is easy to remember and type.
