I have a flight plan that is all Lat/Lon except for dep/arr airport. Each way point (25) has a LL instead of a number or letter and there is not way to quickly link the flight log entry to the map way point. Additionally, I would like to identify each way point on the map and log such as antenna, water tank, etc. Is there a way to address these two items that I have overlooked? Thanks, Dan.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for your post! iFlightPlanner provides a complete system for creating custom waypoints as part of iFlightPlanner Premium. You can use the Google Satellite view on the maps to zoom in as far as you like (for precision), then simply click and select "Save As Custom Location". You may use any custom location you create in your route. Your nav log will show the name of the custom location as well.

We do not currently have a way of setting a number or letter on the waypoint icons that show on the map. LL represents a latitude/longitude waypoint and custom locations will be represented by an C image. For custom location icons, you may click on the icon to see the location identifier. However, we like your suggestion about considering using a number or letter sequence to make matching up the points easier. We have noted this potential feature for review in our upcoming development meetings.

Sincerely,
