Freq's instead of Lat/long for Airpts and VOR's Messages in this topic - RSS

In the Navigation log - is there a way to have airpt/VOR freq's printed out instead of Lat/Long? If it is one of those, the Lat/Long is kinda useless - and the Lat/long is already in my GPS....

Thanks,

Hi Ralph,

Thanks for your post! In the navigation log, you should see VOR frequencies directly under the VOR name. For example, I just planned a route from KARB to KOSH and the frequencies for JXN, LAN, MKG and FAH are included. Please let us know if you're not seeing frequencies for VORs.

For airports, it's trickier as there are often many frequencies associated with one airport. Is there a specific frequency type you would like to see for airports? If you can provide some additional specifics on that, we will include the topic for our next development review.

VOR freq's are there....I hadn't looked at one with a VOR.
CTAF or Unicom for non-towered and Twr and approach for controlled - along with ATIS/AWOS/ASOS when available would be helpful.
For flying over it would be nice to have them available in the log I print out for the flight. I carry charts - but they're harder to use...I've already planned the flight....
Thanks!

Thanks for the additional info! I have added your notes for our next development review, which will happen after we return from Oshkosh. If you'll be there, make sure to come say in Hangar B, Booths 2028-2029!

Did this feature get changed since 2014? I planned a flight with a VOR waypoint and the NavLog only shows the VOR ID, Name, and Lat/Long.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your post! Yes, this feature did change a bit last year when the FAA discontinued the DUATS program and we switched to using Leidos/1800WxBrief.com for some of our underlying aviation data services.

We will review and work to restore the VOR frequency data into the navigation log!
