Considering the growing popularity of it, I'm shocked that I don't see any reference to ADS/B anywhere on this site - but it's always possible that I missed it. Any plans for this?

Thanks for your post! We are currently in final testing of our ADS-B functionality. Look for it in the upcoming version of iFlightPlanner for iPad (v2.3)!

Thanks for your post! Our ADS-B implementation has unfortunately taken longer than we intended. As always, the stability of our app is our highest priority so that users do not experience an app crash during any phase of flight. Given the amount of incoming data on the ADS-B data feed and the memory pressure that places on an iPad, we've help off releasing it until we are 100% confident in the stability.

We're close and we're working hard to wrap it up and get it released to our members, including support for four portable, low-cost ADS-B receivers.

Thanks for your continued support!

John, any update on the ADS-B implementation into IFP? Assume it will work with DUAL - XGPS170?

I see that my co-founder, Andy, responded to you directly by e-mail. Our ADS-B implementation will absolutely work with the Dual XGPS170 upon release!

Thanks for your post (and apologies for the delay in response)! Our ADS-B implementation is complete, however, not yet available in the App Store. We are sharing a beta copy of the next version with a number of our testers. I have sent you a direct e-mail with info on obtaining a copy for use and testing!

I know this is a really new ADS-B device but is there a plan to get the Scout added? https://flywithscout.com/. Thanks, and iFlightPlanner is a GREAT product BTW.

Thanks for your post and the kind words about iFlightPlanner!

Although Scout is very new, we have already inquired with uAvionix about integrating it into iFlightPlanner, as we had already added some of their other devices. Unfortunately, Scout is locked into an exclusive agreement with a competitor of ours and we won't be provided the necessary information to enable iFlightPlanner to receive and process it's data.

Our goal is to integrate with as many ADS-B devices as possible so that our members may choose the device that works best for them. In iFlightPlanner for iPad v3.0, we introduced support for eight manufacturers and 12+ devices. We're happy to answer any questions to help you make the best choice for your aircraft!
