Recently, I flew some compasison flights(www.palservices.org). The call sign used was different from my tail number. When I entering the logbook entry I also entered the callsign. Looking on the Flight List, the aircraft type is gone for flights with a callsign. When flying with a callsign, one should still be able to select an aircraft and log time into the "time in type" bucket.

Hi Sammy,

I'm assuming that when logging the flight, you entered the call sign in the "Other Tail #" field. Doing so clears the selection in the "Aircraft" field, which causes the Aircraft Type to dissapear (as the system doesn't know the aircraft type for Other Tail # entered).

We've had a couple requests to add a "Call Sign" field to our logbook, which is on our To Do list. For now, I'd recommend selecting the correct entry in the "Aircraft" field, leave "Other Tail #" blank, then enter the call sign in the notes field at the bottom of the logbook. Once we add the "Call Sign" field, we'll be happy to help you move the call signs you entered in the notes field into the new "Call Sign" database field!
