About Scott

I started flying when I was 16 years of age and received my private pilots license SEL at 17 years of age. I went on to obtain my Airframe and Power plant license and decided I liked flying aircraft more than fixing them. I joined the U.S. Army in 1992 and retired in 2013 as a helicopter instructor pilot/instrument examiner with over 3,250 hours. During my time in the military I received my commercial instrument SEL and MEL as well as a military equivalency Helicopter CFI/II. After the military I took a non-flying job and unfortunately allowed my CFI to lapse. In 2016 I couldn't stand not flying and shook the rust off and applied to the airlines. I became a regional airline pilot and currently fly CRJ-700/900 aircraft as a Captain. I recently re-certified as a CFI/CFII. On my off time I am instructing in helicopters for a part 61 school.
