The FAA outlined its plan to modernize the NOTAM system, with monthly update webinars leading to initial operating capability in September and a wider rollout for all users in October. Officials noted the need for robust testing, redundancies to prevent disruptions, and agile development to improve accuracy and accessibility of critical information. Industry users may begin testing the new system with their own software as early as July, with a comprehensive transition schedule to follow.

via General Aviation News

A new FBO, Mather Jet Center, has opened at Sacramento Mather Airport (KMHR) in California. Independently owned, it was formed by aviation veterans Victor Cushing, Matt Bosco, and Dan Kimmel, with support from Sacramento County to add an alternate fuel provider at KMHR. The facility, co-located with Mather Aviation, offers pilot and passenger lounges plus on-site rental cars, and Cushing also leads Mather Aviation. The new operation expands service options for the region’s aviators.
