LiveATC.net Releases Android App

Thursday, June 2, 2011 @ 11:58 AM

LiveATC.net, the premier source for live Air Traffic Control feeds on the web, has released a version of its LiveATC mobile app in the Android Market!  The addition of an app for the Android platform compliments a version of their iPhone app that was released earlier this year.

LiveATC for Android lets you browse by U.S. state or by country to find an airport and listen to live air traffic conversations at or near a given airport.  You can also use the "Nearby" feature to find an airport near you, and then add any channel to your list of Favorites for quick and easy access.  The app retails for $2.99 USD.

iFlightPlanner.com users have access to LiveATC.net feeds directly from our Airport/Facility Directory, and have an opportunity to help build the LiveATC network by volunteering their idle scanner to stream live audio from their home airport.  You can also help spread the word by downloading one of two available flyers to hang in your local FBO or flight school!
