The iFlightPlanner Crew is excited to announce that the iFlightPlanner.com maps, available at iFlightPlanner.com/AviationCharts and as part of the iFlightPlanner Flight Wizard, now offer complete airspace functionality, including Special Use Airspace (MOA, Alert, Warning, Prohibited, Restricted, NSA) and Class B, C, D and E airspace.

In addition, the TFR, AIRMET and SIGMET display has been completely rebuilt and fully integrated into the new airspace display capabilities.

To view airspace for any location on the map, simply left or right click with your mouse, then select "View Airspace Info".

As soon as you select "View Airspace Info", iFlightPlanner.com will obtain the most up-to-date airspace info from our servers and display the areas visually on the maps. In addition, you'll see the Airspace Info box popup towards the upper right of the maps. This box will contain as much additional airspace information as is available, including:

* Distinct airspace areas
* Vertical altitude limits
* Contact information
* Times of use

For any airspace in the info listing, make sure to hover over the "Area" definition to see the specific airspace outline highlighted on the map. This feature helps you distinguish between different areas of complex airspace.

Airspace with specific text definitions will show a page icon on the right end of the line. Simply click the icon to view the full airspace definition. This is especially useful for TFRs, MOAs and other special use airspace, which may contain very specific text instructions.

The new airspace functionality and the new iFlightPlanner forum (this is the first topic!) are part of a new iFlightPlanner initiative, where we'll be launching new features for 60-day comment and feedback period before they move into iFlightPlanner Premium. So, please kick the tires and put the new features through the ringer. Let us know what you like, don't like and how we can continue to make iFlightPlanner a better resource for you!

No need to sign up for anything additional! You are already an iFlightPlanner member and ALL iFlightPlanner Free and iFlightPlanner Premium members automatically have access to the new airspace features on iFlightPlanner.com for the 60-day review and feedback period.

Just head to the Flight Wizard or our Aviation Charts, then left or right click anywhere on the map and select "View Airspace Info"!

This is a fantastic addition to the Ifp program! I just completed a trip around alert, Moa, and class b airspace and these planning tools were perfect. Thanks!

Thanks so much! Always great to hear that iFlightPlanner is being well received by our members! It wouldn't be possible without all of the thoughtful input and feedback we have received over the years, which was the impetus for creating the forums so that our entire community can share thoughts, questions and feedback even more easily!
